Where Hope is Found - Where Faith Can Grow and Where Love Abounds

Webster's Dictionary defines the word "church" as, "A house consecrated to the worship of God among Christians." That is certainly true, but there is much more implied in the word "church" than simply a place to worship God. Raphine Christian Church wants to be your church and more! The church is not simply a building, Christians are the church, "the called out ones."

Raphine Christian Church offers hope in a world where hope seems to be in short supply today. It is not "pie-in-the-sky" hope, but genuine hope based upon the promises of God. RCC wants to share that hope with you.

Raphine Christian Church seeks to be a warm and loving place, where you can come out of the storm and into the presence of God and His children. RCC is a place where encouragement takes place, where we support each other and build each other up. We don't tear each up apart as the world so often does. We are a spiritual refueling station.

Please come as you are and join us this Sunday as we grow in our faith together and share in the mercies of God's Son, Jesus Christ.

THE CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14)

The Christmas Message is more than the stable, the animals, and the shepherds of long ago. It is the divine word of encouragement that God is continuously interested in his creation, and that God has come to be with us in Jesus in our lives, and that God has promised to be with us in every life situation we are facing now, or ever will encounter.

Immanuel, God with us, means that God is going through the fire with us, in sickness, in trouble, and even when we fail. Immanuel, God with us, means that when we have done our best, only to fail, God is ready to begin. Immanuel means that when we feel like an outcast or misfit that nobody wants, God does.
Immanuel means that when our smiling façade gets plastered on every morning because everybody looks only at the outside and nobody really knows or cares what is going on inside, God does.
Immanuel means that God is still with us, even if we continue to struggle with a bad temper, an addiction to drugs or unhealthy relationships, or some other temptation that Satan constantly exploits in our life.
Immanuel means that God is still with us, even if it has been a long time since we have sensed His mercies “fresh every morning” and, like the exiles in Babylon, just haven’t been able to sing the Lord’s song in this foreign land.
If we’re to grasp the full meaning of the Christmas Story, we must begin to realize that we are going to make it because God has become Immanuel for us. He is with us. And if God is for us, who can be against us?
The message of this Christmas for you and I is that God is at all times and under every circumstance our refuge and strength, a very present help in our time of trouble.
