Where Hope is Found - Where Faith Can Grow and Where Love Abounds
Webster's Dictionary defines the word "church" as, "A house consecrated to the worship of God among Christians." That is certainly true, but there is much more implied in the word "church" than simply a place to worship God. Raphine Christian Church wants to be your church and more! The church is not simply a building, Christians are the church, "the called out ones."
Raphine Christian Church offers hope in a world where hope seems to be in short supply today. It is not "pie-in-the-sky" hope, but genuine hope based upon the promises of God. RCC wants to share that hope with you.
Raphine Christian Church seeks to be a warm and loving place, where you can come out of the storm and into the presence of God and His children. RCC is a place where encouragement takes place, where we support each other and build each other up. We don't tear each up apart as the world so often does. We are a spiritual refueling station.
Please come as you are and join us this Sunday as we grow in our faith together and share in the mercies of God's Son, Jesus Christ.
Summer Is Gone and Fall Is Here!
Fall Has Come
Summer has come and gone. The vacations are over and the kids are back to school, but it seems that our “to do list” never ends. Down the road is Thanksgiving and then Christmas, and before you know it, it will be January 2014. Hurry, hurry, rush, rush! But wait, there is more to life than running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Sometimes we must pause and consider the awesomeness of God’s creation and His wonderful gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. His death, burial and resurrection brought us hope and peace!
Jesus asked a very thought provoking question in Matthew 16:26. He asked, “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?” The point is that there are more important aspects to life than chasing after things that do not bring us true satisfaction. Christians need to be reenergized and drink from the well of the Living Water! Our souls need to be refreshed and that is only possible when we maintain our relationship with God’s Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives.
So come and join us at Raphine Christian Church this fall. Come and join us as we worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
