Where Hope is Found - Where Faith Can Grow and Where Love Abounds
Webster's Dictionary defines the word "church" as, "A house consecrated to the worship of God among Christians." That is certainly true, but there is much more implied in the word "church" than simply a place to worship God. Raphine Christian Church wants to be your church and more! The church is not simply a building, Christians are the church, "the called out ones."
Raphine Christian Church offers hope in a world where hope seems to be in short supply today. It is not "pie-in-the-sky" hope, but genuine hope based upon the promises of God. RCC wants to share that hope with you.
Raphine Christian Church seeks to be a warm and loving place, where you can come out of the storm and into the presence of God and His children. RCC is a place where encouragement takes place, where we support each other and build each other up. We don't tear each up apart as the world so often does. We are a spiritual refueling station.
Please come as you are and join us this Sunday as we grow in our faith together and share in the mercies of God's Son, Jesus Christ.
Fall Has Come
Summer has come and gone. The vacations are over and the kids are back to school, but it seems that our “to do list” never ends. Down the road is Thanksgiving and then Christmas, and before you know it they will be here. Hurry, hurry, rush, rush! But wait, there is more to life than running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Sometimes we must pause and consider the awesomeness of God’s creation and His wonderful gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. His death, burial and resurrection brought us hope and peace!
As King Solomon discovered, life that is not centered on God is meaningless and has no purpose. Only God can truly satisfy our thirsty souls. So yes, we can become very busy this fall running from place to place and doing every activity under the sun. And we are not saying it is bad to do things and go places in the fall. However, what we are saying is that God deserves our attention as well. Hebrews 10:25 warns, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” We at Raphine Christian Church hope you will join us every Sunday this fall as we worship Jesus Christ and celebrate His gift of eternal life to us.
