Where Hope is Found - Where Faith Can Grow and Where Love Abounds

Webster's Dictionary defines the word "church" as, "A house consecrated to the worship of God among Christians." That is certainly true, but there is much more implied in the word "church" than simply a place to worship God. Raphine Christian Church wants to be your church and more! The church is not simply a building, Christians are the church, "the called out ones."

Raphine Christian Church offers hope in a world where hope seems to be in short supply today. It is not "pie-in-the-sky" hope, but genuine hope based upon the promises of God. RCC wants to share that hope with you.

Raphine Christian Church seeks to be a warm and loving place, where you can come out of the storm and into the presence of God and His children. RCC is a place where encouragement takes place, where we support each other and build each other up. We don't tear each up apart as the world so often does. We are a spiritual refueling station.

Please come as you are and join us this Sunday as we grow in our faith together and share in the mercies of God's Son, Jesus Christ.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Spring has arrived and it is no accident that the change from winter to spring reminds us of new life. New life is an important theme in the Bible. All Christians are aware of the significance of new life as it pertains to their relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is during the spring that Christians throughout the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We call it Easter. Through this selfless act by Jesus, every man and woman has the opportunity for new life.

New life in Christ means that Christians have been forgiven for their past disobedience and rejection of God. Jesus left heaven, came to earth, died on a cross as God’s perfect sacrifice for sin (your sin and mine). That is why in 1 Corinthians 15 Paul the Apostle could write, Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Christians have new life and victory through Jesus! Now there’s something to celebrate. In fact, why not join us this Sunday as we worship as awesome God!
